1. What do I do if my trash is missed or I forget to put my cart out?

If your trash is missed by error on part of the city,  please call City Hall at 918-371-1010 to schedule a pick-up. If you forget to put your trash out, please have your cart out on your next scheduled pick-up day. Please have your cart out by 6 a.m. during the summer months to ensure pick-up.

2. What is automated collection?

Automated garbage collection uses a type of container that can be emptied by automated equipment, making the process faster, more efficient, and much safer. Each household is furnished with a special container, which the citizen rolls to curbside on garbage collection day or the night before trash day. The garbage vehicle is equipped with a lifting mechanism that reaches out to the container placed at its proper location with the opening facing the street, lifts and empties the contents, and returns the container to its original position.

3. What size container is available, and what is my monthly charge?

• Residential Poly Cart (95 Gallons) - $16.04
• Residential Extra Poly Cart - $7.48 plus the charge of the first poly cart

Commercial rates depend on the frequency and container size and can be picked up 1 to 5 times weekly.

4. What if I need a smaller, larger, or additional container?

Residential poly carts are available in one size - 95 gallons. However, customers are able to request additional poly carts (for an additional fee) for a period of 6 months or more. Commercial and industrial customers can choose from a variety of different sized containers. For more information, please contact Collinsville City Hall at 918-371-1010.

5. Where do I place my cart for pick-up?

• Place cart with the opening facing the street and the handle toward your house. 
• Place 4 feet from obstructions (vehicles, mailboxes, etc). Cart must be within 4 feet of the curb.
• If you have more than one cart they need to be at least 4 feet apart. 

Use only the carts provided; trash set out in any other container will not be collected. Additional carts are available by contacting City Hall.

6. What kinds of trash do I put in my cart and what is prohibited?

Carts are for general household waste only. Trash placed outside of the cart will NOT be collected unless you have made arrangements with the City (918) 371-10101.  (Bagged grass and some yard debris can  be picked up for an additional charge).  Putting toxic material in your container could result in a possible fine.
