After COVID-19 forced the cancellation of Collinsville's 4th of July parade, the City has decided to move the event to a virtual format. The City is asking individuals, local businesses, families, previous float registrants, and others to submit fun pictures or videos of up to 30 seconds incorporating one of the following. -Overall Patriotism! Honoring the U.S.A. and the freedoms we enjoy! -in honor of the Class of 2020! Seniors who will graduate this year during the pandemic! -Honoring First Responders and Health Care Workers who have been putting their lives on the line during the COVID-19 pandemic. People wishing to participate can send submissions to scampbell@cityofcollinsville no later than July 2, 2020. The Virtual 4th of July Parade will be posted online on Saturday, July 4th, 2020.
